Well it’s that time of year again. As many of you know through email blasts, word of mouth, or for the fact that you could be sitting at the airport right now WE11 is here! Whether you have already begun your journey or will be embarking tomorrow, the travel to Chicago, the Conference, and the trip back will be a memorable experience. If you are unable to attend but would still like to participate, you can register for virtual participation here and take advantage of all the WE11 has to offer still!
Once you are there, the conference will fly by. It may be overwhelming looking at the Pocket Guide to all of the sessions, tours, and networking opportunities, but the key to getting the most out of your WE11 experience is planning ahead. For sessions, pencil in a schedule of the ones you would like to go to ahead of time rather than deciding the morning on your bus ride to the McCormick center. Some sessions will have more attendees than others, so be sure to arrive to a sessions room ahead of the start time to beat the rush.
The same goes for the career fair as well. There will be over 250 companies attending the WE11 career fair. If there is a company you are interested in that does not recruit at your school or regional conference check to see if they will be hosting a hospitality suite to connect with a company representative before the career fair starts. So have your resumes ready and be yourself!
WE11 only lasts for three days. Maximize your time and plan ahead of time. Enjoy your time networking, meeting other SWE members, and the informational sessions.
