Everyone has their own definition of creative and everyone is creative in their own way. But to most engineers the art field is considered far out there and viceversa when an artist is looking into a life of an engineer.
Is there a world where an artist is more engaged with machines and heavy equipment and an engineer more inspired by art? Of course there is. But how often do you see it encouraged and promoted in school?
The Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at New York University challenges artists and engineers to work in the same world to create new games and interactive ways to communicate. This is where the engineer that is interested in human factors and the artists that likes machines are encouraged to collaborate together and do so in a good manor.
