We Need Your Stories! – SWE Yearbook

We hope your spring is off to a great start whether you are still experiencing winter or enjoying above freezing temperatures.  Region H is in need of your section’s awesome events to showcase in the SWE Magazine Yearbook Edition.  Submissions are due no later than May 15th.

Do you have an event that you are planning or hosting before the end of April 2013? Have any photos (high resolution required, i.e. no cell phone photos, unless set to high-res) to go along with them?

SWE Magazine is looking for each region to provide stories of your fun events from outreach to general membership to professional development.

The photos do not have to go along exactly with the events, but do require a detailed caption to describe the picture.  If you haven’t had your event yet, remember to take action shots and not just people in a line holding plaques or a full room of people just sitting around tables.

Photos for SWE Magazine must be high resolution, which means that photos taken from cell phones won’t work unless set to high resolution. Most cell phones default for lower resolution. Please, please encourage your members to use cameras when taking photos of events.

Please email your section’s events / stories / photos to both our region governor  Jenny and RCCE Erin.  If your event does not make the cut for the Yearbook, it will at least be featured on the blog.  Email Jenny and Erin information about your events (include a description) as well as contact info of who best to talk about the experience at the event, so Jenny can properly select a few groups to get interviewed by SWE Magazine.

All photos can be sent in with captions to Jenny by May 15th.   jennifer.morikawa@swe.org

Erin’s email: rcce-h@swe.org
